COSENZA 2014 : Mediterranean meeting on the theme Monitoring, modelling, early warning of extreme events triggered by heavy rainfall

BIZERTE 2012: The START project on Mediterrenean lagoons organized its final workshop in Bizerte, Tunisia from the 25th to the 27th of June, 2012. This project will continue its activities as a MAGHLAG of MEDFRIEND

RABAT 2012: Withing the framework of MEDFRIEND, the SIGMED program organized from 7th to 10th of May, 2012 a training session intitled "Process of hydrological data with GIS in order to run a rainfall/discharge model.

TIPAZA 2011: The International Scientific Workshop organised by SIGMED was held on the 7th and 8th of June,2011 in Tipaza (Algeria), the slide shows of the talks of these two days with very rich exchanges are available while clicking on the following link:

FES 2010: The Sixth International FRIEND Conference "Global Change: Facing Risks And Threats to Water Resources"was held from 25th to 29th of October, 2010 in FES, Morocco. The communications were published by IAHS, in the Red Books series.

Les 7 et 8 juin 2011 à Alger, Algérie, s'est un Atelier Scientifique International sur le thème :

Relations homme / environnement et transports solides : une approche spatialisée

Organisation : Gil Mahé (HydroSciences Montpellier - Mahé) et Mohamed Meddi (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Hydraulique de Blida - Meddi).

L'objectif de cet atelier est de rassembler des chercheurs du pourtour méditerranéen pour travailler pendant 2 jours sur une thématique pluri-disciplinaire autour des relations entre les activités humaines, les ressources en eau, les phénomènes d'érosion et le transport des sédiments.

L'atelier est organisé dans le cadre du programme SIGMED (Approche Spatialisée de l'Impact des activité aGricoles au Maghreb sur les transports solides et les ressources en Eau De grands bassins versants) soutenu par l'Agence Universitaire de laFrancophonie, et est également soutenu par le programme MEDFRIEND de l'UNESCO.

- Atelier scientifique MED FRIEND / UNESCO
Les 10 et 11 décembre derniers se sont tenues à Rabat, Salle des Actes de la Faculté des Sciences de l'Université Mohamed V - Agdal, deux réunions du programme MED-FRIEND, du Programme Hydrologique International de l'UNESCO.
Le 10 décembre après-midi a eu lieu une réunion technique de pilotage du projet, regroupant des experts internationaux et marocains en hydrologie et les cadres scientifiques du programme MED-FRIEND, avec pour objectif de discuter des perspectives scientifiques du programme autour de la Méditerranée pour les années à venir. 
         Le 11 décembre s'est tenu l'atelier scientifique sur le thème: « Evaluation des changements  globaux sur les régimes hydrologiques et les ressources en eau” ; qui est l’un des cinq thèmes de recherche du programme MED-FRIEND de l’UNESCO.
19 intervenants venant de 6 pays (Maroc, Algérie, Tunisie, Italie, Burkina-Faso et France) ont échangé sur le thème de l'atelier et sur des propositions d'activités au sein du thème et de sous-thèmes pour les prochaines années.
FRIEND est un programme de recherche international dont le but est d'aider à la mise en place de réseaux de chercheurs régionaux pour analyser des données hydrologiques, nationales ou internationales, et pour échanger des données, des savoirs et des techniques à un niveau régional.
L'atelier a pu être organisé gràce au soutien de l'UNESCO, de la Faculté des Sciences de l'Université Mohamed V-Agdal à Rabat, de l'Association Plan Bleu, du Service de Coopération et d'Action Culturelle de l'Ambassade de France au Maroc, de l'IRD et de HSM.
