ISTANBUL 2012: MEDFRIEND organized in November 2012 a conference on Modeling Sediment Transport in Hydrological Watersheds and Rivers in Intanbul, Turkey
BIZERTE 2012: The START project on Mediterrenean lagoons organized its final workshop in Bizerte, Tunisia from the 25th to the 27th of June, 2012. This project will continue its activities as a MAGHLAG of MEDFRIEND
RABAT 2012: Withing the framework of MEDFRIEND, the SIGMED program organized from 7th to 10th of May, 2012 a training session intitled "Process of hydrological data with GIS in order to run a rainfall/discharge model.
COSENZA 2011: The Fourth International Workshop on hydrological extremes, from prediction to prevention of hydrological risk in Mediterranean countries took place at the University of Calabria, in Cosenza from 15th to 17th of September 2011. The slide shows can be browsed at the following address:
TIPAZA 2011: The International Scientific Workshop organised by SIGMED was held on the 7th and 8th of June,2011 in Tipaza (Algeria), the slide shows of the talks of these two days with very rich exchanges are available while clicking on the following link: The communcations done during this workshop are published in the number 19 of the Journal of Water and Environnement of the ENSH.
FES 2010: The Sixth International FRIEND Conference "Global Change: Facing Risks And Threats to Water Resources"was held from 25th to 29th of October, 2010 in FES, Morocco. The communications were published by IAHS, in the Red Books series. The page of the conference is here

Les 7 et 8 juin 2011 à Alger, Algérie, s'est un Atelier Scientifique International sur le thème : Relations homme / environnement et transports solides : une approche spatialiséeOrganisation : Gil Mahé (HydroSciences Montpellier - Mahé) et Mohamed Meddi (Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Hydraulique de Blida - Meddi). L'objectif de cet atelier est de rassembler des chercheurs du pourtour méditerranéen pour travailler pendant 2 jours sur une thématique pluri-disciplinaire autour des relations entre les activités humaines, les ressources en eau, les phénomènes d'érosion et le transport des sédiments. L'atelier est organisé dans le cadre du programme SIGMED (Approche Spatialisée de l'Impact des activité aGricoles au Maghreb sur les transports solides et les ressources en Eau De grands bassins versants) soutenu par l'Agence Universitaire de laFrancophonie, et est également soutenu par le programme MEDFRIEND de l'UNESCO.
